BIM allows us as designers to create projects in a virtual 3d environment. This not only helps during the design process but allows clients to visualise their projects at an early stage. Used collaboratively the building model can enable the whole project team to design, cost, plan, produce construction programmes and manage the ongoing maintenance of a building.
